Ron, Maggie, Vickie & Michele.............I was sorry to hear about Rob. When he had his business at the service station, I always enjoyed stopping to see him. A 10 minute stop would always turn into a half hour or more! He had a big heart. He will be missed!

Ron and Magie, So sorry to see that Robbie had passed away. Please accept my sincere condolences. It's been quite awhile since I was last up at the Lake.... maybe something like 15 yrs. I have many fond memories of many years ago at the Texaco Station. You guys were like family.. remember Robby and of course Vicky. There has been a lot of sadness in the area with people passing and Nick Stoner clubhouse burning down. My heart will always be there and everyone that was there before I left for the Navy. I still stay in touch with Mike Schmutz. Wish everyone well and hope for better days ahead. God Bless you all. Kip Fischer

My dear cousin and I would spend hours together playing outside and racing our bikes down an access road to the golf course with playing cards clothespined to the spokes in order to sound cool. We both lived and breathed racing. Race days at several drag strips, Wednesday nights at Fonda Speedway, and Saturday nights at Fonda for stock cars. He did amazing fabrication. Recently I had a hospital procedure and in the recovery room there was an older gentleman who was a Snowbird that spent summers in Caroga Lake. I could hear him talking and I kind of eves dropped telling him I and my family were from there. I asked if he knew any of my family that was still there. Wouldn’t you know Robbie’s name was the first. Lastly, my oldest daughter at age 2 ADORED Robbie. She use to call him” Bobby ob”! My dear cousin I know your up there with grandpa & grandpa from both sides of family, my mom and dad so I suggest you behave yourself. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
