Obituary of Robert A. Mosconi
Robert A. Mosconi, age 82, of Gloversville, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville due to complications from Covid-19.
He was born March 11, 1938 in Gloversville, the son of the late Arthur and Winifred "Sally" Sajdak Mosconi. He was employed as a Project Engineer by NYS Dept. of Transportation in Albany for nearly 40 years. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed watching his children, grandchildren and great-grand children grow through the years. Known by his grandchildren and great grandchildren as “papa”, he enjoyed golf and bowling during his early years and loved working in his yard which was evident by each season’s flowers and decorations. He also took great pride in maintaining his cars to perfection. Bob was a great friend to many and will be missed by all.
In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his wife of over 61 years, Louise D'Errico Mosconi who passed just 11 months ago.
Bob was an active member of the Church of the Holy Spirit, it's Holy Name Society and a Fourth Degree Member of Gloversville Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include two children, Robert A. Mosconi Jr. (Gail) of Tribes Hill and Sharon M. Quinn (David) of Medway, MA; seven grandchildren, Kasey Aiken (Russ), Samantha Gallup (Adam), Olivia Barnett (Brian), Natalie Nellis (Luke), Andrew Quinn, Brendan Quinn and Connor Quinn; ten great-grandchildren, Rylan Aiken, Noah Aiken, Reese Aiken, Camden Gallup, Roman Gallup, Palmer Gallup, Brady Barnett, Nora Barnett, Teagan Nellis and Bennett Nellis; as well as several cousins.
Due to the current Covid-19 Pandemic, private visitation at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home and Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of the Holy Spirit will take place at the convenience of the family.
Relatives and friends are invited the Bob's interment service will take place 11:45am Friday, May 21, 2021 at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the St Jude.
