Obituary of Anthony A. Ambrosino
Mr. Anthony A. Ambrosino, age 73, of Gloversville, passed away on Wednesday December 9, 2020 at his home in Gloversville.
He was born April 6, 1947 in Gloversville, the son of the late Vincent and Dora Ambrosino. He proudly served his nation in the United States Air Force and earning the rank of Sgt. While serving above the Artic Circle in Alaska. He was later employed as a Shipping Clerk for over 40 years by Decca, MCA and Universal in Gloversville. Before retiring he was employed by the Fulton County Highway Department.
As a result of his love for hunting, fishing, and traveling the USA and Canada he started his own business, Photos by Anthony. His photos were sold at many craft shows each year and are still enjoyed by all who purchased them. His hobbies included flower and vegetable gardening, metal detecting, and feeding his backyard birds. He was also an avid bowler in the Wednesday night league at Kobuskie Lanes maintaining a 200 average. Tony played horseshoes in Summit League for several years. He will be remembered for passed on his hunting and fishing skills to many young family members.
On January 14, 1967, Anthony married the love of his life, Michelle Gendron. They shared over 53 wonderful years of marriage. Together they enjoyed spending time boating, fishing, hunting and many casino trips with friends and family.
Anthony is survived by his wife Michelle Ambrosino; three brothers, James (Antionette), John (Lorrie) and Thomas (Mary) Ambrosino; a sister Dawn Ambrosino Borqwardt ; a brother in-law Peter Cinelli; a special cousin, Robert (Mary Jo) Ambrosino; along with several other nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
In addition to both of his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Nancy Cinelli, and his faithful Beagle Barney.
Keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal calling hours or funeral services at this time.
Cremation took place at Park View Cemetery, Schenectady.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Humane Society or a charity of your choice in Anthony's name.
