Obituary of Norma E. Cozzolino

Norma E. Cozzolino, age 85, of Gloversville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 7, 2020 at Albany Medical Center, Albany.

She was born October 24, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA; the daughter of the late Murrell and Grace Latt Moore. She was employed as a secretary receptionist for Belltone Hearing Aids in Gloversville and receptionist in the medical field. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed crocheting, reading but mostly spending time with family.  She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Norma was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit where she was a Eucharistic Minister for the homebound. She was Past President of both the Nathan Littauer Hospital Auxiliary and the Gloversville Lions Club as well as a volunteer at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville.

On December 12, 1953 she married Ciro "Chick" Cozzolino, who died March 27, 2000.

Norma is survived by five children, Salvatore C. Cozzolino Sr, Rose E. Gallt (Ed), Maria E. Cozzolino (Alan Waschak), Michael T. Cozzolino and Antoinette E. Miller (Jim); two brothers, Kenneth Moore (Beverly) and Robert Moore (Joyce); two sisters, Virginia "Honey" McCarraher and Carol Moore; eleven grandchildren  fourteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Norma was predeceased by three brothres, Murell Moore, John Moore and Harvey "Buddy" Moore, a daughter, Antoinette Cozzolino and a granddaughter, Amy Lynn Kriz.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 am to 12 noon on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville.  Facial covering and social distancing is required and all Covid-19 regulations must be followed.

A  Private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the convenience of the family the Church of the Holy Spirit at with the Rev. Matthew Wetsel as celebrant. Private Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Nathan Littauer Hospital Auxiliary, 99 E. State Street, Gloversville, NY 12078.
