Obituary of Susan J. Zepperi

Susan J. Zepperi, 87, a lifelong resident of Amsterdam, New York, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2020 at River Ridge Living Center.  She was born on November 30, 1933 to the late Joseph and Bambina (Champaglia) Porciello.  

Susan attended Wilbur H. Lynch High School, graduating with the class of 1952. After graduation, Susan was united in marriage to the late Valentino Zepperi, who predeceased her in 1991. Susan was a devoted wife and mother, with a big heart and a love for animals. For years she did volunteer work with the Montgomery County SPCA. 

Her loving family includes her daughters Deborah (Gary Bonanno) Zepperi, and Valerie Zepperi, her granddaughters, Emily and Karley Schweinfurth, and their father, Tom Schweinfurth.  

Susan lived her life to its fullest. She loved to travel, especially making trips to the casinos. If there’s one thing folks knew about her, it was her love for estate sales and garage sales. Susan was a member of Club 60, the Port Jackson Bocce League, and the Inman Seniors.  

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family at St. Michael’s Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with Valentino.
