Obituary of George Patrick Kline

Mr. George Patrick Kline, age 71, of Delanson, passed away on November 26, 2020 at Albany Medical Center from Parkinson's disease surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Gloversville, the son of the late Philip and Virginia Kline.  He proudly served in the US Army and was later employed as a Steamfitter at General Electric in Schenectady for 33 years. 

Being a sports enthusiast, George was a devout fan of the Detroit Tigers baseball team.  He was an official umpire of High School baseball games and was never too busy for a game of catch with his son.  He enjoyed watching ice hockey and looked forward to ice-skating each winter.  His many talents included carpentry, electrical and plumbing.  He took pleasure gardening, traveling, and the companionship of his pets.  Most importantly, he loved his family and treasured his true friends.  

George is survived by his wife Dorothy; their two children Kalyn (Michael) and Nolan (Rebecca); three grandchildren; his brother Michael (Jane), two sisters Susi (Micky), and Sheila (Richard); along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Danny and a sister Diane. 

The family will receive relatives and friends from 11:30AM to 1:30PM, Friday December 11, 2020 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. 

In accordance with Covid-19 guidelines, facial coverings and social distancing are required at all services.

A private funeral service and interment will take place at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Johnstown at the convenience of the family.
