Obituary of Phyllis J. Blakely

Phyllis J. Blakely, 91, a lifelong resident of Amsterdam, New York, passed away peacefully at the E.L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility on Thursday, November 26, 2020. She was born on October 6, 1929 to John and Hazel (Phoenix) Hidde.

Phyllis was employed by the Esquire Novelty Company in Amsterdam, and was a communicant of the Historic St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. She was a private person who kept to herself, enjoying her television shows, and spending time with her beloved cats.

Phyllis is survived by her siblings, Martha Ozug, Ted Hidde, and Tom Hidde.

Funeral services for Phyllis will be held privately at the convenience of the family, in St. Mary's Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her mother.
