Obituary of Harold Lawton

Harold Lawton, age 57, of Johnstown died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville. 

He was born March 11, 1963 in Gloversville, NY to the late Roland and Eleanor Lawton. He was a self employed handyman for most of his lifetime. Harold recently moved from South Carolina to NY to be closer to his family and the Adirondack Park. He lived his life doing what he loved, being outdoors fishing and hunting. 

Survivors include his wife Sherry; his four children; Angela Brownell (Keith) of Edinburg NY, Lynnsay Lawton of Putnam CT, Laura Lawton of Thompson CT and Dustin Lawton (Kirsten) of Trenton SC. Nine Grandchildren; Emily, Benjamin, Dorian, Alyssa, Cameron, Chloe, Kevin, Chase, Kinsley, a Great Grandson; Liam. 

Harold is also survived by three brothers; Dan Dawson (Linda) of Canajoharie NY, Doug Dawson (Cheryl) of Fonda NY, Roland Lawton (Tina) of Johnstown NY, and a sister Loretta Klingbeil (Casey) of Johnstown NY. Along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

In addition to his parents,  he was predeceased by five brothers; Butch Davis, Tom Davis, Kenny Davis, Chuck Dawson and Bill Dawson. Harold was also predeceased by his grandson, Jordan Frias. 

Cremation will be conducted by Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville NY.
