Obituary of Kathryn E. Krutz

         Mrs. Kathryn Foss Krutz, 84, of the Town of Amsterdam, passed away Monday November 2, 2020 at the Edward L. Wilkinson Residential Healthcare Facility in Amsterdam, NY.

         She was born on December 7, 1935 in Broadalbin, NY a daughter of the late Howard and Pauline Teller Foss.  She was a life-long resident of the area and was a graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School. 

        Kathryn was employed for many years at Liberty ARC as a Life Skills Coach.  She truly enjoyed her work in helping the residents at Liberty gain their independence. 

       Kathryn was a classic car enthusiast.  She loved her 1964 Chevy Impala SS and won many awards at various car shows throughout the area over the years. 

      She was a former member of the Cranesville Reformed Church. 

     Kathryn and George Krutz were married on December 8, 1951.  In addition to her loving husband she is survived by her brother, Tim Foss who resides in South Carolina and was pre-deceased by brother, Robert "Bob" Foss and sister, Beverly Chapman.   Her adoring children; Christine Fura, Claude (Deborah) Krutz and George Krutz Jr. all of Amsterdam. 

     Cherished grandchildren; Angel (Bob) Schell, Claude Krutz (Jen), Tara (Sergio) Torres, Justin Krutz, Jason Krutz, Jessie Krutz (deceased), Shayne Krutz (Nicole), Adam Krutz (Tiffany) and Emily Belknap (Dillon).  She was blessed with several nieces, nephews, cousins and great-grandchildren.

       Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Private interment will be in Hagaman Mills Cemetery, Hagaman, NY.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Ayers Memorial Animal Shelter, 133 Hilltop Rd., Sprakers, NY 12166 or through the Alzheimer’s Association website: act.alz.org/donate.
