Obituary of Peter L. Hryniak

Mr. Peter L. Hryniak, age 72, of Gloversville, passed away on Monday November 2, 2020 at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville.

He was born July 13, 1948 in Gloversville, the son of the late Leon and Frances Hryniak. He was employed as an Operator in the Gas Turbine division of General Electric in Schenectady for over 20 years. Following GE, Peter started his own business as a contactor working until his retirement in 2006. In his earlier years, he enjoyed to go golfing and fly fishing with his son Peter Jr.

Peter is survived by his wife, Barbara Hryniak; his son, Peter Jr. Hryniak; his daughter in-law Jennifer Hryniak; his “Grandpups”, Piper and Luna; his in-laws, Dominic and Irene Viola; three sisters, a brother in-law, two sister in-law’s, along with nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday November 7^th, 2020 at The Church of the Holy Spirit, 151 S. Main St. Gloversville, NY 12078 where the Liturgy of the Word service will immediately follow at 11:00 am with Fr. Matthew Westel officiating.

Those attending the services are required to practice social distancing and wear a facial covering.

Burial will take place at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.
