Obituary of Vincent J. Lansburg
Mr. Vincent J. “Vinny” Lansburg, 60, of Harrower Lane, Amsterdam passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020 following a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Saratoga, NY on February 15, 1960 he was the son of the late Edward “Pete” and Margaret Laurin Lansburg.
A lifelong area resident, Vinny graduated from Amsterdam High School. He was employed by Teamsters Local #294 at Newport News Ship Builders for many years. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his two granddaughters, hunting and fishing with his friends and being with his loving wife and daughter.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah “Debbie” Dlugas Lansburg; his daughter, Lory Graff and her husband Corey; his two granddaughters, whom he adored, Brielle “B” and Paige “Magoo”; his siblings, Harold Lansburg and Marianne, Charles Lansburg and his wife Arlene and Lisa Lansburg; one sister-in-law, Linda Lansburg; nieces, nephews and cousins.
On February 18, 2001, life changed for the Lansburg family. Peter, their loving son and brother passed away unexpectedly. For the last 20 years, Vinny has missed Pete every day and now they have been reunited. Vinny was also predeceased by his parents and his brother Paul Lansburg.
A Service of Remembrance will take place on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 4p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Calling hours will be held prior to the service beginning at 2p.m. Private burial will take place in the Hagaman Mills Cemetery.
