Obituary of Arianna M. Lanzi
The world became a little dimmer with the passing of Arianna M. Lanzi on Sunday, September 13, 2020. Arianna was born on July 3, 2000 to her parents, Anthony and Mary Agnes McNeill Lanzi. She was 20 years old.
A lifelong area resident, she attended Mayfield Central and graduated in 2018. During her short lifetime she excelled in many areas and touched many lives. Arianna was an athlete, scholar and had a love of the arts. She was volleyball, basketball and softball player that competed on many local and regional levels. She was an actress, having several rolls in high school productions and was a clarinetist active in the Mayfield band receiving the John Philp Sousa Award in 2018. Dedicated to her community, she was active member of the Key Club serving as District Governor and attending many local and national events. Arianna also traveled to Western Europe through People to People as a Student Ambassador and to Guatemala through the Mayfield Presbyterian Church in the hope of making the world a better place for those less fortunate. Following graduation from Mayfield, she pursued her dreams and was attending Siena College.
A fierce, vibrant and beautiful soul who meant so much to many. She was determined to live an independent, meaningful life and not let anything hold her back. Arianna accomplished so much, but more importantly she enfolded her family, friends and strangers with love. She certainly will be missed by all who loved her.
Survivors include her loving parents, Anthony and Mary; her beloved pets, especially her bunny, Midnight; many aunts, uncles and cousins and extended family members of the McNeill and Lanzi families; and many, many friends.
