To the Family of "Bobbie" Markes;
My sincerest sympathy and condolences to your Family upon hearing of the passing of Bobbie as I knew her and knowing her granddaughter Lisa Alvarez
i was Bobbie's mailman for several years and retired in 2005 However we stayed in touch and exchanged Christmas Cards since my retirement. My family and I all live in Florida. When back home i had stopped to see her ,but that was a few years back.I believe Lisa is friends with my daughter, Kara DiCaterino.
Bobbie was a kind and friendly and caring person..It was 9:30 in the morning one day and she was waiting for me with her mail and gave me this beautiful chocolate cake. I had to bring it back to the truck first and then finish delivering the mail on Elizabeth Street. Well, you can bet that didn't take long cause i wanted a piece of that cake and did when I returned to the truck.It was so good and thanked her for her kindness and thinking of me.
It is the kindness and spirit of people like Bobbie that says a lot about the good people in this great country, those like Bobbie who we wouldn't hear about on tv but who make a difference in peoples lives.
Thank you Bobbie for being a good friend over all these years. God's Eternal Blessings to you and God's Blessings to your Family. I will miss you, but not goodbye but until we meet again.
