Dear Peggy and Larry,
Please accept my condolences on the passing of Billy. Although I didn't know him well, I did know of his athletic prowess in high school. I remember an outstanding touchdown catch he made to win a game between F-F High and Broadalbin High back in the day. It is still a vivid memory, because I was on the losing team that day... I hope fond memories help you through this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Jon Stead

Despite the terrible hand Billy was dealt in the spring of his life, he continued to live - for over four decades - as he had lived before the accident: with fortitude, humor, and grace. His caregivers have testified to his courage and happy disposition. Imagine that. They were amazed and inspired, as were his family and friends. Billy’s legacy is a beacon, lighting the way for us to live our best lives. I think it’s a wonderful way to honor him. In loving remembrance, Kathy West

My thoughts and prayers to the Boshart family. I only knew Bill for a few years while working here at Lexington, but oh the wonderful stories I've heard from everyone, and the happiness I could see on his face when he was around his loving staff at home and dayhab. He will surely be missed. RIP Bill.

With deep sympathy to the Boshart Family. Billy was a classmate and football team-mate who displayed shear determination and courage to succeed. His smile was infectious and was a pure example of a modest person. Our prayers are with the Boshart family and may the Lord embrace Billy's spirit.
Sincerely,
Steve (FFCS '79) and Mary Amato

I’m 5 years younger than Bill was, and the football game he was injured at was the first I ever attended, so I always think of him whenever I attend a game. A few years after that I was candy-striping at Amsterdam Memorial Hospital where he was a patient. I remember his parents came in every single night and exercised his arms and legs as well as his mind. I will never forget their unwavering love and dedication to their son. What a fine family! So sorry to hear of his passing but I believe somewhere he is finishing that game and there’s no doubt FFCS will win.

To the Boshart family, I am so sorry for your loss my thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. But I can hear Bill laugh and say don’t be sad for me my life was a good one. I made lots of friends along the way, reminisced about by gone sports years, and best of all lived longer than everyone thought I would after my accident. I will remember how Bill touched me, that no matter what cards life deals you, you laugh and joke and make the best of it. I’ll always remember our time talking together, no more pain RIP.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Bill. I have memories of when we use to live across from each other, catching the bus at Duross Furniture and riding it to school. The times when the farm animals use to get loose and end up in our yard. May He Rest In Peace.
With prayers and thoughts for him and his family.

I’m deeply saddened by Bill’s passing. He was my “man” as I used to tell him when I cared for him for 6 years at Rosewood. I will miss telling him jokes and stories. I will always remember his smile and his laugh and his way of telling me that everything was BS. My deepest condolences to all of the Boshart Family.

Heartbreaking news. I remember the day bill was injured, I was sickened to see one of my best friends injured seriously. He was an animal on the gridiron, a unstoppable monster on the basketball court and a loyal and honest friend. He has been in my thoughts since that horrible day, now I hope and pray he can rest in peace. By for now my friend, ill see you on the other side.
