Obituary of Nick G. Masala

Nick G. Masala, age 86, of Gloversville, passed away Tuesday morning, August 18, 2020 at his home.

He was born July 8, 1934 in S. Bethlehem, NY, the son of the late Victor and Phyllis Pertuccci Masala. He was a 1953 graduate of Gloversville High School. Nick was employed by Coleco Industries, Lee Dying Company and Simco Leather Company. He enjoyed fly-fishing and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants.

Nick was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit, Gloversville.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ann Spinelli Masala; two daughters, Gina Brand (Michael) and Nicole Aguilera (Clinton); four grandchildren, Christina Plumadore, Juila Plumadore, Colin Aguilera and Elliot Aguilera; two sisters, Jennie Chiariello and Julia "Dolly" Handy; a brother, Christopher Masala (Kathleen); as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Nick was predeceased by four siblings, Caroline Russo, Anthony Masala, Joseph Masala and Flora Mellis.

Due to the current Covid-19 Pandemic, a Memorial Mass will take place at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078.
