Obituary of Georgiana McGinnis

Mrs. Georgiana McGinnis, 57, of Fultonville, NY died peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2020 surrounded by her family at St. Mary’s Hospital.  Born in Gloversville, NY on November 3, 1962 she was the daughter of Winifred Cromer Vosburgh and the late William Vosburgh.

A lifelong area resident, Georgiana attended school at Fonda- Fultonville.  She was the proprietor of Queen Been Bakery in Fultonville.  Her greatest passion was making sweet treats for her family, friends and customers.

On May 17, 1993 she was united in marriage to Timothy P. McGinnis.  That union lasted 21 years until his untimely passing in 2014.  She was also predeceased by her son John McGinnis, and her siblings, Danielle Sager, Russell Vosburgh and Randall Vosburgh.

Survivors include her mother, Winifred Vosburgh; her daughters, Meagan Andrews of Johnstown, NY and Katie (Chris) Cope of Gloversville, NY; one son, Sean McGinnis of Fultonville, NY; four grandchildren, Trent, Mathew, Jacob and Harrison; one sister, Mary (Gary) Warner of Gloversville, NY; one brother, William Vosburgh of Colorado; and her companion, Ed  Dunlavey of Tribes Hill, NY.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 2p.m. in the Maple Avenue Cemetery, Fultonville.  Calling hours will be held on Friday from 10:30a.m. until 1:30p.m. at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend; masks and social distancing protocols are required for all events.
