We have fond memories of Edith's lovely correspondence at Christmas time. She shared a lot about Failing family history - especially about George Failing and his World War I service. We visited her in her home when we traveled from Cape Cod to Utica when I was in the US Public Health Service. We enjoyed stopping to see her in Fultonville and speaking with Edith and her husband, John. I look forward to meeting the rest of her family some day.

Rest in peace Edith. We'll always remember the times you and Jack came to our farm to visit.

Linda and I are sorry to hear of Edith’s recent passing. We fondly remember visiting her in Fultonville and I remember visiting Jack and her at their camp on Stoner Lake when I was young and having to take a boat to reach their camp. We always looked forward to receiving her holiday greeting once she moved to Arizona. Growing up in Fort Plain, we both had teachers from the Failing family.
