Obituary of Gail P. Phillips

Gail Patricia Phillips, 76 of Amsterdam, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday August 5, 2020 at Ellis Hospital after a heart attack.

She was born on October 16, 1945, and is the daughter of the late Dorothy St. Clair. Gail was a lifelong resident of Amsterdam. She spent many years as a homemaker, and help raise her grandchildren Richard and Jermaine. She was an avid Bingo player, enjoyed watching her daily programs, coloring, and spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.

Gail is survived by her daughters Roseann (Ray) Jones, Renee (Vincent) Buckner, her son Roger (Lisa) Francisco. Daughter in Law Jaime Phillips, Grandchildren Tara (Andrew) Phillips, Romeo Jones III, Richard and Jermaine Torres, Christina (Jake) Tybor, Amanda (Michael) Stark, Cassie Campos, Joshua Peugh, Christian, Brandon and Samantha Phillips, Amos and Otis Buckner. Great grandchildren Elyas and Malia Castro, Johnny Garcia, Riley and Lucas McElwin, Kara, Kaylen, and Kenley Stark, Jordan and Aliyana Braxton, Romeo Jones IV, and Matthew Peugh. Gail is also survived by her sisters Jerry, Joanie and Marilyn, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and several friends.

Gail was predeceased by her mother Dorothy, her sons Stephen, Ralph and Randy Phillips, her daughter Valerie McDonald, her brother Raymond, and sisters Sandy and Audrey.

At Gail's request there will be no funeral services. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, Amsterdam NY.
