Obituary of Aletha "Lee" M. Robinson

Mrs. Aletha M. “Lee” Robinson, 90, of Fultonville, NY, passed away peacefully at Wilkinson Residential Healthcare Facility on July 23, 2020. She was born on October 13, 1929 in Jewett, NY, to the late John and Pearl (Soule) Persons. Lee lived in Jewett with her family until 1961, when she moved to the Fultonville area.

When Lee first moved to Fultonville, she was employed as a waitress at the Fultonville Truck Center. Later, she went on to work with her husband as a salesperson for the family business, Randall Trailer Sales, until the 1970’s. She then went on to continue working as a waitress at the Truck Center until her retirement in the 1980s.

Lee enjoyed working on crafts, gardening, and in her early years she enjoyed bowling with her husband at the former Johnstown Bowling Lanes. Over the years Lee loved to go camping with her family at the former Benson Wilderness Camp Grounds in Northville. She also attended Randall Reformed Church.

On September 7, 1956 Lee was united in marriage to Andrew B. Robinson, who passed away on November 14, 2006. Survivors include her son, William A. Robinson Sr. (Sue Griffin) of Sprakers; three grandchildren, Lynn (Tyrell) Anderson of Randall, William A. (Lola) Robinson Jr. of Broadalbin, and Gerry Robinson (Sasha Ward) of Randall; four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Sophia, Emma, and Ayden.

She is predeceased by her parents, John and Pearl, as well as by her brother, John Persons.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the funeral home with Reverend Josh Fetterhoff presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Avenue Cemetery in Fultonville, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.

Due to Covid 19 all attendees are required to wear a mask and observe social distancing guidelines.
