Obituary of Rosemary Puszkarczuk

     Rosemary Diarito Puszkarczuk, 69, passed away at her home on Thursday, June 11, 2020 with her family by her side after an 11 year battle with ovarian cancer.   

     Best known as “Ro” she was born in Amsterdam on September 20, 1950 to Nicholas and Mary Buono Diarito. She attended Amsterdam schools and was employed for many years at The Noteworthy Co.  She raised her family in Amsterdam until recently retiring to Swansboro, NC.   

     Ro loved to spend time with her family and friends, chatting over good food and a strong cup of coffee.  She enjoyed being home in her garden planting her flowers and decorating her home. She enjoyed cooking for her family and loved baking.  She loved to feed anyone who showed up at her door.     

     She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Thomas Puszkarczuk; son, Thomas J. Puszkarczuk of Amsterdam, NY; daughter, Kim Orapello and son-in-law Joe Orapello Jr. of Amsterdam, NY; grandchildren, Taylor and Joey Orapello; brother, Joseph Lucarelli of Schenectady, NY; and sisters-in-law, Wanda Flatters and Patricia Lillquist both of Hubert; and many nieces and nephews. 

     She was predeceased by her parents and sisters Rita Empie and Dolores Merriner.
