Mary & John,
I am so broken hearted to learn of Mom's passing, she was an Outstanding Nurse in every possible way. To me she will always be "Queenie". I have so much Love and respect so many wonderful memories of all our days working at Nathan Littauer Hospital. As a ward clerk, I learned so much from her always she was always available and so willing to help. For all the good she has done for humanity and thru her profession she is now in heaven, for a rest and reward she so greatly deserves....Well done good and Faithful Servant........Rest in Peace my "Queenie". I shall Love you forever......"Sarge"...........

So sad to hear of Marlene's passing. She and I worked together for 10 years as Nursing Supervisors and she was always so kind to me. She mentored me in this position and was so amazing remaining calm in so many tough situations we were at times faced with. So professional and loving nurse. Our deepest condolences to Mary, John and their families.

John and Mary. I am so sorry for your loss. I may not have shown it but growing up, your mom ment the world to me. She had the patients of a saint. Always had a kind word for me and never turned me away with my hundreds of pesky visits to your door to see if anyone could come out and play. Many of my fondest childhood memories revolved around your mom. Actually too many to list but I'll never forget going to the Unadilla motocross track and of course the Kiss concert in NYC. She will forever be in my thoughts and I will miss her. Stevie.

Dear John and Mary and Annie, Maria and Bob,
I met your mom during the band days and still a teenager, lasting through her meeting our girls, it says here to share a memory, there’s so many, where do i begin. From the fondue parties to riding sleds up north, omg, we laughed till it hurt, last time we got together was at our house to keep the fondue get together alive, she had a good time visiting with us. I’m so happy as is Karen and the girls are to have had her in our lives for decades, we loved her and will sadly missed, keep all those great memories alive within yourselves.

Marlene was my supervisor when I started my career at NLH in 1989. She was a great nurse and always willing to help. The only time I ever saw he mad was when she stomped up the hallway with a nurses shoe in her hand that we “accidentally “ sent to pharmacy after hours through the tube system. Still makes me laugh now. We will miss you but feel you smiling on us.

Marlene was a great nurse, she was a mentor to me in the early days of my career at NLH. I always had the upmost respect for her and Goodie, as they would make evening rounds in the Nursing Home to say hi and offer a helping hand if we needed it. RIP, Heaven has gained an angel. Nancy Abrams
