Obituary of Diane L. Wrobel

Diane L. Wrobel, 69, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 1, 2020 at Alliance Hospital, Fort Worth, Texas with her husband, Gary by her side. After several months struggling with illnesses in local hospitals she spent her final days residing at The Harrison at Heritage nursing center in Keller, TX.

She was born on September 15, 1950 in Gloversville, NY, the daughter of the late Joseph Gallup and Anna Davison Gallup. Diane was a devoted military wife with Gary before they retired in 1992, having lived in Europe and several states over the course of more than 20 years.  They also visited many countries including Belgium, Greece, England, Germany, Netherlands, and France.  Over the course if their 47-year marriage, Diane and Gary moved 28 times before settling in Texas.  In recent years Diane loved gardening, taking care of her house, and doting over her three grandchildren who she loved dearly.

Diane is survived by her husband, Gary D. Wrobel of Fort Worth, TX; two children, Matthew Wrobel (Beth) of Orlando, FL and Michael Hlavac of Edina, MN; three grandchildren, Angelina Hlavac, Wallace Hlavac and Avery Wrobel; three sisters, Deborah Williams, Dawn Laird (Bill) and Darla Hine; a brother, Dan Gallup (Donna); as well as seven nieces and nephews, as well as eight grand nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Diane was predeceased by a granddaughter, Nora Hlavac and a brother, Doug Gallup.

Interment will take place at Union Rural Cemetery, Mayfield.
