Obituary of Alice R. Stride

Alice R. Stride, 69, of Amsterdam passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday June 2, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born in Amsterdam on August 29, 1950 and was the daughter of the late Rose (Zepperie) Lovelace.

She is survived by her loving children David (Kimberly) Seigle of Richfield Springs, Anthony (Siri Yindeetham) Seigle of North Carolina, and Damian (Brandy) Stride of Amsterdam.  Two brothers Harold (Bella) Lovelace of Amsterdam, and Kevin Lovelace of West Virginia. Also by her grandchildren Brian Seigle, Mason Stride, Spencer Stride, Preston Stride, Keisha Seigle, Ashley Weller, and by three great grandchildren.  Also by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Besides her parents Alice is predeceased by her husband Ronald C. Stride who passed away in 2015.

During her lifetime she was born and raised in Amsterdam, She enjoyed playing bocce ball, and was a member of the Amsterdam Bocce Club. She also enjoyed sponsoring people in AA. Alice enjoyed needle point, embroidery, and reading.  She also enjoyed spending time with her pet companion who passed away and will be buried with her Izzy. 

A private burial will take place in the family plot of the Fairview Cemetery.
