Obituary of Michele Emma Winney
Mrs. Michele Emma Winney of Gloversville, entered into eternal rest on May 31, 2020 at Nathan Littauer Hospital at the age of 69.
She was born February 22, 1951 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Carmen and Mary Lampman Capparello. She attended local schools graduating in 1969.
Michele was united in holy matrimony on February 16th, 1979 to Mr. Thomas H. Winney, they remained lovingly married until his passing on October 28, 2017.
In addition to her husband Michele was preceded in death by her parents as well as sisters Linda Wallach, Bonnie Adams, and Emma Christman.
She is survived by her loving daughter Carrie Winney of Gloversville, sons; Shane (Judi) Douglas of Johnstown, NY, and Matthew (Michelle) Winney of Arizona. Brother John Capparello ( Antoinette) of Fonda, NY, and Carmine Capparello of Largo, FL. Sisters; Angie Lucas of Gloversville, NY, Tina Pabis (Mark) of St. Johnsville, NY, Toni Capparello of Johnstown, NY, Mona (Ted) Jennings of Johnstown, NY, and half-sister Billie Jo (Nathan) Quinn of Largo, FL. She also leaves behind grandchildren; Stephen Douglas of Johnstown, NY, Madisin and Macie Winney of Arizona, Magan Winney of Mayfield, NY, and Matthew Winney of Johnstown, NY as well as one great grandson whom she loved dearly; Oakley Thomas Winney of Johnstown. She is also survived by her beloved cat Harlow, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Michele will be remembered for her outspoken sense of humor.
In accordance with Michele's wishes there are to be no formal services. Memorial donations in Michele's name may be made to a charity of your choice.
