Obituary of Lawrence Green

Mr. Lawrence N. "Larry" Green, age 75, of Caroga Lake, passed away Friday, May 15, 2020 at Albany Medical Center, following a brief illness.

He was born January 5, 1945 in Gloversville, the son of the late Harry A. and Beverly Thorne Green. He was employed as a Truck Driver for over 30 years; most of this time was for P &C Foods of Fultonville, NY. All throughout his years he was an avid outdoorsman; enjoying hunting, fishing, and camping- continuing into his retirement years.  He also enjoyed getting together with his buddies at the local coffee shop.

Larry was a family man; enjoying spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife,  Janice M. Green; three children, Rhonda Bunner (Mark) of Loveland, CO,  Kevin Green of Johnstown, NY,  and Amy Polsinelli (Louis) of Cape Coral, FL; a step-daughter, Emily Velasquez (Gustavo) of Takoma Park, Maryland. He is survived by three grandsons, Matthew Bunner, Jacob Bunner, and Joseph Polsinelli; and 2 step-grandsons, Sebastian Velasquez and Javier Velasquez. Larry is survived by a brother, Thomas Green Sr. (Pat); a sister, Cheryl Miller (Joe); the mother of Larry's children, Sharon Handy; as well as several nieces and nephews; and of course his dog Buster.

In addition to his parents, Larry was predeceased by a brother, Bruce Green.

A private graveside service will take place at the convenience of the family at Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown, with the Rev. R.W. Williams officiating.
