Obituary of Wayne L. Hudson

Wayne L. Hudson, 73, of 3565 Sunset Blvd, West Columbia, SC, died peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at Colonial Gardens Alzheimer’s Special Care Center. Born in Little Falls, NY on December 10, 1946 he was the son of the late Stanton and Zelda VanDusen Hudson.

A lifelong resident of Fort Plain, NY, Wayne attended local schools and was a hard worker all his life. He along with his family owned and operated Zelson Farms until their retirement. Wayne enjoyed bowling, golfing, wood working and furniture building. He was known by many and beloved by all; he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 54 years, the former Beverly Duesler, his three children, Brenda (Ben Green) Hoke, Tammy Flaherty and Stacey (Mary) Hudson; his siblings, Roger (Janet) Hudson, Sandy Green and Bonnie (Ron Smith) Hudson; 8  Grandchildren:  Ashley (James) Agard, Ryan Hoke, Briana (Timothy) Mcguire, Juliana Hoke, Kelly (Ronald) Bramer, Richelle Fuhs, Bailey Hudson and Stacey Ray Hudson II;  14 Great Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his sister Elaine Cook, brother-in-law, Jack Green, sister-in-law, Clara Duesler.

A service for close friends and family will be held on June 6th, 2020 at 1:00 pm on the family plot at the Freysbush Cemetery. Family is encouraged to attend wearing a mask and following social distance protocols. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org
