To the Greco Family,
I subbed for Janet many years ago before I went on to teach in Amsterdam. One of her lesson plans had me going to look for owls using the book "Owl Moon" with younger students. I always thought of her when I read that book.

Paul, Sean & Julianne, Tess & all her siblings: My heart breaks for all of you. I hope you find comfort in these memories of Janet. Janet was born a teacher. We met in grammar school, she assisted and motivated me to be a better student. I remember Janet talking about her Bocce( Grandmother),pointing out Otto while walking on the hill right in front of Mack’s. I remember the party of all parties we had at the Korona house. Years later Tess told us she knew all about it. Whenever we got together later in life she was always telling us about her family. When we went away for our 50 th birthday we teased her because she had a case of all different items. By the end of the trip we had all borrowed something in that case and we were thanking her! Paul and family, I am so sorry to hear about Janet’s passing. I have many fond memories of working with Janet at FFCS. She was always so professional, hardworking and smart. She was kind, warm and a wonderful friend. We would commiserate about our migraines. She taught my son in 5th grade and would continue to ask after him when we would see each other. She had a great sense of humor too, a beautiful person inside and out. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and all your family.

Dear Paul, Sean, Juliana and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time. Janet was a wonderful friend and teacher. The children adored her as did the staff. She always had a smile for everyone. I enjoyed working with Janet for many years. Even after I retired Janet and I did a recycling project with her classes and Capri Sun pouches. I enjoyed coming to school to pick up the pouches and to visit with Janet. Janet was always ready to try any project that would spark the students interest and teach them about science.

One special memory of Janet at FFCS is from a time when she traveled to elementary classrooms to teach weekly Science classes from a rolling cart. No problem. She made it look easy. Every lesson included creative hands-on learning activities fostering curiosity and a love for Science. My class eagerly counted the days until Science class with Mrs. Greco.
Janet certainly had a natural flair for fashion! Above all, her kindness and warm personality will long be remembered and cherished.

I will never forget being a colleague and friend of Janet's at FFCSD. We had so many talks! Janet was such a hard worker and spent hours into the evening preparing for her students! She was loved by so many students! I will always remember her beautiful smile, classy style, and willingness to help others.
As the teacher who "replaced" her position as the 6th grade Science teacher when she retired, I will think of her every day as she left me with so many lesson plans, books, and other resources! She will forever be apart of me and my daily teaching! Janet will be missed by so many and Heaven has gained a beautiful angel! So sorry Paul, Sean, and Julie!

Paul and Family, I'm lost for words. Janet was a Special cousin that meant so much to me. Even though we lost touch through the years being busy with our family's, we always managed to see each other here and there or at the market and converse. To my self on occasion I thought of her when she was my "on call babysitter" for my children. I Loved her and will miss her. The memory and beauty of her will always be with me and in my heart.

So many great memories, which began as our kids attended FFCS together. Our kids were the same ages as Sean and Julie, so there were lots of sporting events, girlscouts, field trips, AAU basketball, playdates and overnights. There was no Janet without Paul - a genuine team. Pure love. Janet loved simple things and and was very rooted in her family. Before Janet became really sick, we could always see them attending local outdoor music events at Riverlink with Janet's mom. You could tell she was very happy to always see you - with a big smile. My kids also had Janet as a teacher and they loved her. I always admire how "put together" Janet was, so today I put some extra lipstick on to celebrate her wonderful life. Janet would want us to face the days and know that she's sharing in our joys from above. Our prayers for God's grace.

This hurts my Heart. Mrs. Greco was my teacher in 5th grade. I very much remember how much I liked her. One thing I specifically remember was how many different pairs of shoes she had and how she would wear a different pair every day. I also remember thinking she was Pretty and acted "Fancy". Yup, that was the way 5th grade me described her.

Our hearts go out to your family. Mrs. Greco was a wonderful and inspiring science teacher at Fonda. Many children flourished in her science class with her creative and hands on approach.
