Obituary of Cheryl J. Dennison

Mrs. Cheryl J. Dennison, 75, of Youngs Corners Road, Town of Florida died peacefully on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 following a brief illness.  Born in Amsterdam, NY she was the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy Lang Rogers.

 

A lifelong area resident, Cheryl attended local schools and went on to attend Albany Business College.  She was employed at St. Mary’s Hospital for a short time before helping on the Dennison Family Farm.  She loved tending to her floral gardens and took great pride in her home.  Cheryl especially loved spending time with her granddaughters.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

Cheryl was predeceased by two daughters, Michelle and Jean.

 

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ellis J. “Bubby” Dennison; one son, Robert E. Dennison; two granddaughters, Jaylynn and Allie; one sister, Doreen Perretta and her husband Donald; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

A Graveside Service will take place at a later date in Chuctanunda Cemetery.  Relatives and friends will be invited to attend.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Florida Reformed Church, 6255 State Highway 30, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
