Anne was a dear and much-loved friend for many years when I lived in Albany, NY. I knew she was not doing well, but her death was a shock and leaves me very sad. Anne was a kind-hearted soul, whom I think liked everyone. She also loved her dog, Barkley, as well as several other dogs that she outlived, She also loved her little house and her neighborhood in Niskayuna. I met Ann when I came to work for the NY State Department of Health, and she and I were friends from the beginning. We did many things together, especially going to antique shows. It was because of Anne that I came to fill my house, as she did, with antiques. In the fall, we always went together to a country store up north for apples. And there's so much more to say. She was my best friend, and the hardest thing about moving home to Portland, OR, in 1995, was leaving Anne. May her memory by a blessing. She will be greatly missed.

As I type this, I'm looking at this wonderful wooden goose hanging over my kitchen sink. It is one of the many gifts that Lynne has given me over the years. While she loved shopping, what she really loved was finding that perfect gift, no matter how small, that she thought would make you smile.
From summers at the beach, to our visits together in both in NY and VA, time spent with Lynne was always entertaining. One particular visit stands out for me. It was the fall of 2002 and Lynne and her brother Jack flew down to visit their Uncle Joe. We went to an Octoberfest in the Richmond area and I will never forget Lynne dancing to the chicken dance with my dad. There was so much laughter over that visit along with lots of shopping, fantastic dinners and just being together.
Lynne was such an important part of our family and will be missed very much. Rest in peach Lynne.
Love,
Mary Kay

I will always think of Lynne when I wear my pink shirt with the flowers. My favorite memories of Lynne are beach trips, putting together puzzles, the year she brought "poppers" to Christmas Dinner (a first for me), her unique and special gifts, and the family visit to her home last summer. She was truly a special lady! Rest in peace, Lynne!
Love,
A in-law cousin, Wanda

Lynne, as we called her in our family, was my first cousin on our mother’s side. As my brother said today while we were reminiscing about her, “she was the matriarch of the Barkley side of the family.” The Barkley side had three sisters, 10 kids between, with half of the clan coming from the youngest, my mother. We have always felt close to my mother’s side of the family, “the New York cousins,” as we call them. Lynne remained very close to my parents all their lives, and we benefited from that by enjoying her many visits to our home, wherever we happened to be living, and she loved to join us on family vacations. We had so much fun with her. She was a cool lady. She always sent the most unique gifts. She loved to travel. She loved to shop. I was very fortunate to be able to travel to NY with a few of my siblings last summer for a visit and lunch with Lynne. We reminisced and laughed, looked at old photos, and just loved her. She will be greatly missed by the Wallin’s.
