Obituary of Anthony J. Perry
Mr. Anthony J. Perry, 91, of Amsterdam, NY passed away peacefully on April 7, 2020 following a brief illness. Born in Amsterdam, NY on September 5, 1928 he was the son of the late Angelo and Artabella Momullo Perri. He attended local schools and was a carpenter for many years until his retirement.
On July 23, 1950 he was united in marriage to the former Helen K. Marotta. They lived a wonderful life together residing in Mahopac, NY, Port St. Lucie, FL and Lewisville, TX before moving back to Amsterdam in 2018. Tony was of the Roman Catholic faith and was a 50 plus year member of the Knights of Columbus. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was predeceased by his sister, Concetta Perri and a grandson, Gabriel Gliewe.
His loving family includes his wife Helen; three daughters, Artabella J. “Bella” Mittler of Gloversville, NY, Mary A. Robbins and her husband Kenneth of Argyle, TX and Deborah M. Nunley and her husband Dereck of Desoto, KS; one sister, Carmella Overton of Yorktown Heights, NY; seven grandchildren, Nicole Dingman and her husband Wayne, Jason Gliewe and his wife Clarissa, Melissa Sukah and her husband George, Jackie Holub and her husband Chris, Timothy Robbins and his wife Stephanie, Anthony Nunley and his wife Caylee and Pierce Nunley; twelve great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to the Covid-19 Outbreak, services will be held at a later date. Interment will take place in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
