Dear Donna, David and family,
I was saddened to hear of the loss of your mom. We were in Florida so I was unable to attend the funeral. I wish I had been there to pay tribute to your mom. She was a remarkable person who lived a wonderful life. She and I shared a special relationship, special in many ways. I always strived to keep the front seat of my car or truck free from clutter so I could offer her a ride home from the post office. I figured she had walked up hill (a little pun about Hill St. here) to the post office, so I could offer her a ride "down-Hill" home. Even though I tired to keep the front seat clear, I usually had to clear it out and we both would laugh about that clearing process! She always had a wonderful smile and was happy to oblige me by filling me in on Donna's latest exploits, David's career and his family. She was and remains a part of Hill St. lore. I miss our times together but will forever remember her as a positive influence on so much of what happened in our village. My heart goes out to you in your loss.
