Obituary of Donna E. Childs

Donna E. Childs (Willett), age 65 of Gloversville died with her family Monday, February 24, 2020, at Mountain Valley Hospice.

Donna was born March 4, 1954, in Bronx, NY. In 1968 the Willett Family moved to Patchogue, NY where she graduated from Patchogue-Medford High school in 1972. Donna attended Fulton Montgomery Community College and relocated to Fulton County permanently.

Donna was a homemaker, child-care provider, 4-H Leader, Master Gardner, and friend to all who knew her.  Her love of nature, family, camping, music, and the simple things in life, made her the beautiful individual she was.

Donna is survived by her husband Jeffrey S. Childs whom she married on September 19, 1976.  Her children Orion S. Childs (Tara), Audrey E. Hichens (Alvin), Derek J. Childs (Tiffany), Brother Kevin D. Willett (Deborah), Sister Lori A. Trombley (David), grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Donna is pre-deceased by her parents Donald and Lorraine Willett; brothers Alan K. Willett, and Steven J. Willett.

There are no calling hours per Donna’s request.

Interment will be at Ferndale Cemetery

A celebration of life will take place for family and friends on Friday February 28, from 1pm-4pm at the Concordia Club, 138 Concordia Club Rd, Gloversville, NY 12078.

In Lieu of flowers we ask that memorial contributions be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath and Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
