Obituary of Thomas J. Andrzejewski
Mr. Thomas J. Andrzejewski, 74, of Christman Place, Amsterdam died peacefully on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 following a brief illness. Born on March 30, 1945 he was the son of the late Alexander and Margaret Brennan Andrzejewski.
A lifelong city resident, Tom attended local schools and was a graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School, where he was very active in the Drama Club. He was employed by Esquire Novelties, Coleco and lastly Mt. Loretto Nursing Home until his retirement.
Tom enjoyed time with his family and watching movies. He had a vast knowledge of useless information that he was always willing to share. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was predeceased by his parents; his siblings, Vita McEckron, Patrick Andrzejewski, Mary (George) Graham; his father and mother-in-law, Steven and Stella Malicki; and one sister-in-law, Christine Gaba.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen (Malicki) Andrzejewski whom he married on June 14, 1980; his siblings, Eileen (Ace) Andrzejewski, Wayne (Betty) Andrzejewski; one sister-in-law, Diane Andrzejewski; one brother-in-law, Raymond McEckron; and several niece’s nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 11a.m. at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis as celebrant. Calling hours will be held prior to the Mass beginning at 9a.m. at the church. All are welcome to attend. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
