Obituary of Charles A. Caputo

     Mr. Charles  A. Caputo, 80, of Broadalbin, NY, passed away on Sunday January 26, 2020 at the St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center Inc.

    Born in Gloversville, NY on July 8, 1939, a son of the late Joseph and Emma Gates Caputo.   He was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools. 

     He was a US Army Veteran serving from 1957 until he was honorably discharged in 1959.  Charles was employed for many years for the City of Johnstown Water Department. 

    He married Mary P. Kalem Caputo on April 12, 1975.  In addition to his beloved wife he is survived by his children, Trina M. Rougier of Hagaman, NY, Joy Lavada, Todd Caputo, James Caputo, Charles Caputo, Cindy Klock and Anthony Caputo.   One brother, Joseph Caputo of Gloversville, NY.  Two sisters, Shirley Vavruick and Joan Brooker.    Four grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

    Charles was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Caputo in 1982. 

     Funeral Services and Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday February 4, 2020 at 1:00PM at the Lord of the Harvest Church,  27 Teller St., Amsterdam, NY 12010.  Military honors will be rendered following the services on Tuesday at the church.    Arrangements are under the direction of the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010.   Please leave condolences online at www.brbsfuneral.com.
