Obituary of Marjorie V. Frasier
Mrs. Marjorie V. Frasier, 91, of Johnstown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at home with her loving sons by her side.
She was born May 7, 1928 in Syracuse, NY, daughter of the late Francis Valliere and the late Pauline Valliere.
Marjorie graduated from Gloversville High School and the Nathan Littauer School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. In May of 1950 she married the late Myron R. Frasier and together they bought the family farm in August 1950. She lived there the rest of her life and was so proud that her three sons continue to run the farm today known as Debilyn Dale Farm. She absolutely loved the farm life, being a homemaker and most of all her children, grandchildren and new great-granddaughter. As the Matriarch of the family she will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her three sons with whom she lived, Lyn, William and Dale Frasier (Barbara); her daughter, Deborah Lair (Wayne) of Johnstown; her grandchildren, Kelly J. Lair (Matt) of Gansevoort and Wayne Lair Jr. (Lauren) of Niskayuna and her great-granddaughter, Victoria Anne Lair. She is also survived by one brother-in-law, Leonard Frasier (Anne) and sisters-in-law Joan Savage and Ruth Frasier; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband Myron, she was also predeceased by her sister, Peggy Horak; sister-in-law, Lillian Herba and brothers-in-law Arthur, Daniel, Richard, Lawrence and Thomas Frasier.
In keeping with Marjorie's wishes there will be a private service at the convenience of the family at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
Friends and relatives are invited to pay their respects to the family on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, Johnstown-Gloversville, 308 N. Comrie Ave., Johnstown.
Interment will take place in the spring at Prospect Cemetery, Northville.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the charity of one's choice.
