Obituary of Jean Loveday

Doris “Jean” Loveday, age 84, of Johnstown, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Wells Nursing Home, Johnstown surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born November 7, 1935 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Alfred and Beatrice “Ena” Ryall Goodbread. Jean loved being a Navy wife and mother. She enjoyed traveling to new destinations and making new friends along the way. She will be remembered as a social butterfly, known for a good laugh while playing games with her friends and family.

Jean is survived by two daughters; Terry Loveday (Stephen) and Cathy Loveday (Billy), her son; William G. Loveday III (Maria), six grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren as well as several nephews and extended family members.

She was predeceased by her father Alfred Goodbread, her mother Beatrice “Ena” Ryall Goodbread, her sister Joan Goodbread and a brother Gary Goodbread.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00PM to 6:00PM, Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville.

A Funeral Service will take place at the privacy of the Loveday family.

Interment will take place at Ferndale Cemetery, alongside her sister Joan.
