Obituary of Glenna Janet Fremont

Glenna (Dunham) Fremont of Gloversville, 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at the Foltsbrook Center nursing home in Herkimer, NY with her loving family at her side.

Born in Gloversville, NY, on October 7, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Russell Dunham and Francis Wright Dunham.  Glenna was a graduate of Gloversville High School, where she met the love of her life and future husband, Donald Fremont.   

Devoted to her family, Glenna was a homemaker who loved her many cats.  She was also an avid fan of the New York Yankees, watching every game and keeping notes on scores and highlights.  

She is survived by her loving husband Donald, daughter Brenda (Jeff) Fremont, son Donald Fremont, grandson Justin (Stephanie) Etherton and step-grandson Eric (Ashley) Etherton, as well as several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, all of whom she loved very much. 

Glenna was predeceased by her parents, her siblings Gloria Bombard, Gwendolyn Klenna and Russell Dunham as well as a daughter in-law Brenda J. Fremont.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00AM to 1:00PM, on Tuesday December 31, 2019 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville where a Funeral Service will follow at 1:00PM with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating.

Interment will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery, immediately following services at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to any animal welfare organization such as the Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter in Sprakers, NY or the James A. Brennan Memorial Humane Society in Gloversville.
