Obituary of Michael J. Zambella
Michael John Zambella, of Johnstown, NY, died on Sunday, December 15, 2019 in Ormond Beach, FL. He was born on April 10, 1959 to Alfred J. Zambella of Johnstown and the late Marilyn A. Zambella.
He graduated from Gloversville High school and attended Florida State University, where he was on the golf team. He was the Chief Operating Officer of Fashion Tanning Inc and owner of Van Road Corp for most of his career. He recently worked for H&L Insurance as a licensed insurance agent. He was a member of the Hales Mills Golf Club, where he maintained his lifetime love of golf.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Debbie Hollenbeck, his two sons, Anthony “AJ” of Gloversville and Adrien of Mayfield, and their mother Susan Zambella of Mayfield. He is also survived by his sisters, Cheryle Podgorski and husband Tom of Ridgefield, CT and Teresa Kroll and husband Dean of Orchard Park, NY, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mike’s family and friends will miss his fondness for all things with a motor—on both land and water, his sense of humor, and his infectious laugh.
Services will be private with burial to take place in the springtime at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.
