Obituary of Elsa E. Keyser

Elsa E. Keyser, 92, passed into the arms of the Lord on December 11, 2019 surrounded by those who loved and cared for her. She was born August 27, 1927, the daughter of the late Richard and Barbara (Bux) Tryanna of Amsterdam.

During her lifetime Elsa worked nearly 50 years for Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory in Niskayuna where she was an Executive Secretary working in research and development of Nuclear Submarines. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school and bible study for over 60 years, Elsa was also a faithful member of the choir.  Formerly of 86 Arnold Avenue in Amsterdam, Elsa spent four years at the Sarah J. Sanford Home before taking residence at the Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility where she remained for her finals years.

In addition to her parents, Elsa was preceded in death by her husband Earl E. Keyser whom she married on October 6, 1985. They remained lovingly united until his passing on September 5, 2007. Also by her brother Richard J. Tryanna, and sister in law Edna E. Tryanna.  She is survived by very close friends Jeanne So and Jerry Blinsinger; her church family; special care givers Guilmarie and Sherri; as well as several cousins and distant relatives.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 1:00pm at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 42 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010 where Pastor William T. Hodgetts Jr. will preach and preside. Relatives and Friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, December 17th from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at the church prior to the service. Private burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery where Elsa and Earl will be reunited.

The family of Elsa Keyser would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Wilkinson Residential Health Care for the level of care Elsa received during the four years she resided there.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Homes, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
