Obituary of Rafael Cabrera

Mr. Rafael Cabrera, 71, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2019 at St Mary’s Hospital with his loving family by his side.

He was born on June 24, 1948 in the city of Comerio, Puerto Rico. On March 1, 1982 Rafael was united in marriage to Ms. Denise Colon, they remained lovingly married for 37 years.  Rafael, Denise, and their family traveled extensively before settling in Amsterdam in 2004. Rafael will be remembered as a loving family man who always smiled no matter what, and was happiest when playing with his grandchildren.

Rafael is survived by his wife Denise Cabrera, son Rafael (Ivelisse Colon) Cabrera and grandson Rafy Cabrera, son William (Luznell) Cabrera and grandsons Jaxen, Liam, Adrian, and Gabriel Cabrera, daughter Denise Cabrera Colon, son Jose E Alicea and granddaughters Estefany, and Jessica Alicea, son Israel Alicea and grandson Israel Alicea Jr.

Calling hours will take place on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Funeral Home Amsterdam, NY 12010.
