Obituary of John W. Herms

John W. Herms, 84, of Scott Road, Fultonville, NY passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 24, 2019 following a long illness.  Born in Hicksville, NY on February 13, 1935 he was the son of the late Werner and Katherine Herms.

A longtime area resident, John owned and operated Mohawk Valley Crane Service until his retirement.  John enjoyed watching NASCAR and traveling.

Survivors include his two children, Lori J. Overrocker of Glen, NY and Jonathan Herms of Glen, NY; one brother, Rudolph Herms of Spring Hill, FL; three grandchildren, Joy L. Harry of New Jersey, Justin J. Overrocker and Jerrod S. Overrocker of Glen, NY; two great grandchildren Olivia and Jordyn; nieces, nephews, cousins; and his beloved cat, Tiger.

He was predeceased by his companion, Shirley Measeck and his sisters Anna English and Katherine Bloshak.
