Obituary of Yvonne M. Hindes

Mrs. Yvonne M. Hindes,  age 68, of Gloversville, passed away Wednesday,  November 27, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a strong battle with cancer.

She was born May 7, 1951 in Amsterdam, the daughter of the late Floyd and Vera Vosburgh Austin. A graduate of Perth Central School in 1969, she later was employed by MCA Record Company, Breton Industries and at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home.

Yvonne loved to read and crochet and spend time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Ray Hindes Jr;  three children, Wade Hindes Sr. (Stacey), Keri Calhoun (Tom) and Chad Hindes (Gail); grandchildren, Wade Hindes Jr; Hannah Ball, Mystia Kirby, AJ LaRock, Darrin LaRock, Brittney Steenburg, Collin Ball and Diana Calhoun; a sister, Joan Vickers; many great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law  Barbara Edel and Diane Crabbe; brother-in-law Robert Fisher; as well as extended families. She also leaves behind her Godchildren Kayleigh WIlliams, Randy Rose, Tacarra VanEvera and Katerae VanEvera.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by five brothers, Floyd Austin Jr;  Gerald Austin,  Douglas Austin,  Robert Austin and George Austin; mother and father-in-law Ray and Geraldine Hindes; brother-in-law Gerald Fisher; and a sister-in-law Joyce Mondoux.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the NYOH, Riverfront Center, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
