Obituary of Susan A. Baird - Blackwood

Susan A. Baird- Blackwood, 59, of Borden Road, Fultonville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany.  Born in Gloversville, NY on October 21, 1960 she was the daughter of June DeWitt Baird and the late Arthur Baird

A lifelong area resident, Susan was a graduate of Fonda-Fultonville High School in 1979.

She worked for many years as a bus driver for several entities including, Brown’s Transportation, Paul Neznek Inc, and the Montgomery County Office For Aging Dial-A-Ride Program.  Lastly she was employed for the Gloversville School District.

Survivors include her mother June Svenson and her husband Paul; her husband Raymond Blackwood; two sons, Paul and Wesley Blackwood; one step son, Ray Blackwood; three sisters, Kathy Baird, Cheryl Greene and Wanda Craig; nieces, nephews and cousins and many friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 1p.m. at the Glen Reformed Church, 1526 State Highway 161, Glen, NY with Pastor Thomas J. Flander, Jr. presiding.  Calling hours will be held prior to the service at the church and begin at 11a.m.  Burial will take place in the Maple Avenue Cemetery, Fultonville.
