Obituary of Marion H. Loux
Mrs. Marion H. Loux, age 95, of Gloversville, died Tuesday evening, October 22, 2019 at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home, Gloversville, with her loving family by her side.
She was born May 26, 1924 in Schenectady, the daughter of the late John and Eleanor Montoney. She worked as a bookkeeper at the form Bacmo Glove Company for several years.
Marion was a member of Foothills United Methodist Church. She was a good mother and loved sewing on her sewing machine. An excellent cook, Marion enjoyed working in her flowers gardens at home. She enjoyed camping with her family and relatives at Pine Lake.
Marion is survived by two children, William J. Loux Jr. (Charlene), Cheryl Brothers (Ron "Steppy"); four grandchildren, Terry Loux; Scott Brothers (Jessica), Rebecca Brothers (Mark Dingman) and Jennifer Kirby (Mark); a great-granddaughter, Sydney Loux; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William J. Loux,; her sisters, Martha Childers, Betty Harris and Eleanor Rorick; and a great-granddaughter, Katlin Loux.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 to 11am, Saturday, Oct. 26 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, where a Funeral Service will follow at 11am.
Interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home, 99 E. State St; Gloversville, NY 12078, where Marion received excellent care for 7-1/2 years, which her family greatly appreciates.
