Victor was loved by so many. I crossed paths with him because he was a regular at the restaurant that I work at. He was more than a 'regular', though. He always had a kind word, advice, joke and ALWAYS asked how my family was doing. I will forever miss him and will smile when I think of him. Good bye for now my friend.

The best neighbor a guy could ever have. I'll always remember the 20 years I spent living next door to him. I laughed
with him every time we talked and the last thing he always said was " goodbye forever" sad to say the last time was true. I'll miss him. Sorry Gavin.

Looking at our lives as if it were a jigsaw puzzle, we'd see how each piece is an intregal part of the whole.
Vic is the father of Amy, a long time friend of mine throughout my years of school in Johnstown. I met Vic a couple times as a youth but mostly upon my return from college to work at Coleco. Vic was one of the gentleman I interviewed with eventually getting the job. Many times Vic would seek me out in the plant or have me run by his office to discuss and monitor my assimilation. Looking back, I always felt he genuinely cared about my success and I so much appreciated his sincerity and humble approachability. He was a great role model as a corporate executive and I did at times, try to apply some of his qualities that I admired to my own personal business life.
It's sad that it takes someone passing to make us recall those times. But again, it's how we all interact with each other, it's how Vic shared his qualities with me and how I'm a little better for it.

To: Gavin and family,
So sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. He was a great guy and I enjoyed working with him at Sysco. We had many laughs together along with times of reflection while we were both there. He brought much experience and wisdom to his job and truly cared about the employees. They respected him and the responsibility he carried. Whenever I hear the phrase “no good deed goes unpunished” I think of your dad.

My sincere condolences to his family.
I had the pleasure of working with Vic during his years with Sysco Foods. He was a realist, knowledgeable and a man of his word. Through some tense situations, Vic kept his cool and never made it personal. In our relaxed moments, he and I often shared jokes, some off color, and always had a good laugh. I kept in touch with him after his retirement and am so sorry that I will not be able to enjoy one of his phone calls which always began with "right to the top of the organization."
Victor was a great guy, the kind most of us aspire to be, and I will miss him.

I am so sad to here of Victors passing. I worked for him at Coleco Ind. back in the day of the Cabbage Patch doll. He was a wonderful boss. Even though that was over 30 years ago, Victor and I kept in touch with each other over the years and were good friends. I will miss him dearly. He is with Jeffrey now and pain free and hopefully I will see him again one day in heaven. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. My prayers are with the Ragusa family. Thank you Gavin for calling me.
