Obituary of Lucia Rose Seren

Mrs. Lucia Rose Seren, age 73, of Fultonville, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady.

She was born January 18, 1946 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Ferrara O'Donnell. She was a long time caregiver at Lexington ARC of Gloversville. Lucia cherished time spent with her family, especially her two daughters and grandson. She enjoyed cooking, being by the water and her “ladies’ trips” to Rochester, New York.

Lucia is survived by her husband George A. Seren, their two daughters; Lissa R. Seren (Jared Urban) and Jessica L. Seren, her grandson Alexander Charles Urban along with several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In addition to both her parents, Lucia was predeceased by her infant daughter Jessica Rose Seren, and her three brothers; Thomas O'Donnell, John O'Donnell and Carmine O'Donnell and a sister Maria Novak.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Monday September 23, 2019 at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 153 S Main St, Gloversville, NY 12078 where a Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 1:00pm with Father Don Czelusniak officiating.

Interment will take place directly after the church service at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Ln, Latham, NY 12110.
