Obituary of Florence Virginia Ferri

Mrs. Florence Virginia "Ginny" Ferri, age 91, of Gloversville, passed away Tuesday August 27, 2019 in the comfort of her home in Gloversville.

She was born May 25, 1928 in Cobleskill, the daughter of the late Raymond and Lulu Duncan Fancher. She was the proud owner and operator of Flo-Art Gardens Floral Shop in Duanesburg for several years. She was an avid baker and enjoyed watching sports and participating in local bowling leagues.

Ginny was one of the founding members of the Duanesburg Volunteer Ambulance Corp.

Florence is survived by her son Jeffrey Ferri (Sandra), her daughter Debra Wrye, her sister Sonja Tymchyn, her seven grandchildren; Christopher, Connor, Tonya, Charles, Jason, Nicholas and Dustin, her cat Patches, along with several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Along with her parents, Ginny was predeceased her son Charles Boughton, a grandson Corey, her brother Raymond Fancher, her three sisters; Lucille Iglar, Wanda Keyser and Ramona Nunez.

In keeping with Ginny's wishes, there will be no formal calling hours or funeral services at this time.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to a charity of your choice in Ginny’s name.
