Obituary of Charles B. Francisco

Charles B. “Chuck” Francisco, 83, of Amsterdam passed away August 25, 2019. He was born June 20, 1936 in Amsterdam, and is the son of the late Burdette and Bernadine (Teska) Francisco.

He is survived by his son Michael (Jeanne) Francisco of Perth, two daughters Laurie (Kevin) Palmatier of Cobleskill, and Joanne Francisco of Schenectady. A brother Jack (Kathy) Francisco of Tribes Hill, and two sisters Pat (Bill) Gasner of Amsterdam, and Cheryl Gasner of Broadalbin. Grandchildren Mike, and Corey Kaczor, Rachel, Hannah and Noah Francisco. Also by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Besides his parent Chuck is also predeceased by his wife Antoinette “Toni” Francisco who passed away July 11, 2016. Also by a brother James Frederick Francisco.

During his lifetime Chuck owned and operated the Mohawk View Farms until retirement in 1984.  After retirement Chuck was a Maintenance worker for the Town of Florida, and also a Charter Bus driver for Brown Coach of Amsterdam. He was also a member of the Farm Bureau, and also of the Board of Appeals in Amsterdam. He was an avid Nascar fan and really loved Jeff Gordon. Chuck also loved watching his grandsons Corey and Michael play sports at Fonda Fultonville Central School, and enjoyed watching his granddaughters Hannah and Rachel participate in shows at Perth Broadalbin School. He also loved watching his grandson Noah race go carts. 

Funeral services will take place on Friday August 30, 2019 at 11 AM with Fr. O. Robert DeMartinis at the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010.  A burial will follow in the family plot of the St. John’s Cemetery.  Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 to 7 PM.
