Obituary of Kathleen Carol Curtis

Mrs. Kathleen Carol Curtis, age 74, of Gloversville, passed away peacefully Friday August 2, 2019 at Mountain Valley Hospice House, Gloversville with her loving family by her side.

She was born April 27, 1945 in Amsterdam, the daughter of the late Russell and Alice Bechard Anderson. She employed as an office clerk by Finkle Distributors of Johnstown for many years, along with raising her beloved children. She was an avid crafter, especially enjoyed sharing memories and family history though her love of scrapbooking. Kathy loved to interact with nature, feeding birds and watching all the wildlife.

Kathy was of the Catholic faith.

Kathleen is survived by her daughter Lisa LaGrange (Kenneth), her son Eric Girard (Jackie Cheney-Girard), and her brother David Anderson, Sr. (Gail), three sisters; Donna Freeman (Gary), Janette Zarcharkiw and Shirley  Smith, her five grandchildren; Ashley, Andrew, Christopher, Paige and Natalie, six great-grandchildren; Logan, Sam, Pagan, Benjamin, Lily and Sullivan, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Along with her parents, Kathy was predeceased by her husband Donald W. Curtis, her three siblings; Lucille Jones, John Anderson and Betty Rackmeyer along with her aunt Annette Bechard who raised Kathy.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Tuesday August 6, 2019 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St. Gloversville, where a Funeral Service will follow at 4:00 pm with Father Don Czelusniak officiating.

A private interment will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Mountain Valley Hospice House- 108 Steele Ave. Gloversville, NY 12078.
