One of my best memories with you, grandpa, was when i was about 8 years old..we would go to the farm after grandma fed us dinner. We would feed the goats n cow, then go for a ride on the tractor and you would lift me as high as the bucket would go to scare me n I can still see your face smiling. Then we would go to Stwearts for ice cream n you would get your scratch off's. Every Weekend was the normal routine- jump in the blue dump truck go to Mr. Bee's aka 'the greasy spoon', as you would call it, for breakfast, pick up barney (the dog) and ride around the back roads of glenville and galway all day. You taught me how to read a ruler, use a hammer, how to use a pitch fork, lay down chalk lines, pour footings for the foundation of your house, how make goat cheese, how to take life by the horns and accomplish anything I put my mind to! Most importantly, you always made me laugh, made me feel safe, and made sure I knew I got your approval when I did something right! There are so many memories and life lessons you handed down to me that I am forever grateful for! You truly were and will always be my best friend. I love you so much. I hope you and my father are finally back together - busting each others chops and laughing! This will never be good bye but I'll see you again! Love, Carmen
